Garin Grant made a splash no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. What's more, he gave up only four hits, the fewest he's had since back in April of 2024. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Solomon Rials was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with two triples, three RBI, and two runs. Those runs marked the first that he's scored this season. David Chapellin was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.

Lighthouse Private Christian Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Meanwhile, Freeport came up short against Chipley on Friday and fell 8-4.

Freeport saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carson Vogler, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Freeport's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Lighthouse Private Christian Academy, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
