Baseball Recap: Kewaskum Triumphs

While Kewaskum's victory against Homestead wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Indians sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 win over the Highlanders on Saturday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Indians also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2021.

Tyler Stray looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Liam Stoffel, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.

Kewaskum is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Homestead, they dropped their record down to 2-8 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Kewaskum has already played their next contest, a 6-3 loss against Winnebago Lutheran Academy on the 28th. As for Homestead, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 10-2 defeat against Whitefish Bay on the 28th.
