Softball Recap: Westview Chargers vs. Peabody Golden Tide

Westview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-6 heartbreaker at the hands of the Peabody Golden Tide. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Golden Tide this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-1 two weeks ago.

Sarah Byars made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI. Those doubles marked the first that she has hit this season. Another player making a difference was Crislyn Warren, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Westview's defeat dropped their record down to 0-15. As for Peabody, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.
