Baseball Game Preview: Warren Township Blue Devils vs. Stevenson Patriots

For the second straight game, Warren Township will face off against Stevenson. The Blue Devils will be playing at home against the Patriots at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Warren Township is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak.

On Monday, Warren Township came up short against Stevenson and fell 6-2.

For Stevenson's part, Frank Costabile made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over five innings pitched. Costabile has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in ten consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

In other batting news, Stevenson let Kosuke Sakamoto and Matteo Nolasco run wild. Sakamoto went 2-for-4 with two runs and two doubles, while Nolasco went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one RBI. That's the most doubles Sakamoto has posted since back in April.
