Basketball Game Preview: Lakeview Centennial Patriots vs. Wylie East Raiders

The Lakeview Centennial Patriots will head out to take on the Wylie East Raiders at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Lakeview Centennial might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 47-44 to Wylie, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Wylie East earned a 49-37 win over Wylie on Friday. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Raiders' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 479th, while the Pirates are ranked 191st).

Lakeview Centennial's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-9. As for Wylie East, their win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-13.

Lakeview Centennial didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Wylie East in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, but they still walked away with a 49-45 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lakeview Centennial since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
