Baseball Recap: Pikesville Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Pikesville waltzed into their contest on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with an 8-3 victory over the Franklin Indians. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-8 two weeks ago.

Ethan Holaday spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up six Ks.

At the plate, Kairee Williams was incredible, going 2-for-4 with two triples, two runs, and two RBI. Those triples were his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Ritchie Carlton, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Pikesville's record is now 5-2. As for Franklin, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pikesville will venture away from home to square off against Eastern Tech at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Franklin, they will head out to face off against Dulaney at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
