Baseball Recap: Liberal Takes a Loss

Liberal managed to slip by Lakeland the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Bulldogs came up short against the Vikings on Friday, falling 10-0. The Bulldogs' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it five in a row.

Liberal's loss dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Lakeland, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-8.

Looking ahead, Liberal will host Diamond at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Wildcats' pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so the Bulldogs' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Lakeland, they will venture away from home to face off against Kingsville at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
