Baseball Game Preview: Croatan Cougars vs. Swansboro Pirates

Croatan might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 8-5 to Riverside-Martin, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 13 runs the game before, Swansboro was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They fell just short of White Oak by a score of 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Pirates have suffered since March 14th.

Dean Germosen was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. That triple was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Landen Jenkins, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

Croatan's loss dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Swansboro, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 7-1 and their overall record down to 11-6.
