Baseball Recap: Cherry Creek Makes It Ten in a Row at Home

It's playoff time, and Cherry Creek had no trouble coming through when it counted. They walked away with a 3-0 win over the Rocky Mountain Lobos on Friday. The Bruins haven't had any issues with the Lobos recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

The result came thanks to Wyatt Rudden's shutout, as he gave up just two hits and racked up 15 Ks. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 5.5 strikeouts per game.

At the plate, Sean Goldy was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one home run. Connor Larkin was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Cherry Creek's win was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-5-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games. As for Rocky Mountain, the defeat snapped their winning streak at 11 games and leaves them with a 20-6 record.

As of now, neither Cherry Creek nor the Lobos have any future games scheduled.
