Football Recap: Mountain View Falls to Liberty in First Game of Season + How To Watch

Mountain View had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They were dealt a 37-0 defeat at the hands of the Liberty Lions on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Toros have suffered since September 13, 2024.

Liberty's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jayden Pico, who rushed for 19 yards and one TD, and also threw for 82 yards and one touchdown.

Looking ahead, Mountain View will square off against Mesa at 7:00 p.m. on September 5. As for Liberty, they will challenge Corner Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on September 5.
