Basketball Recap: Zeke Garris' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Carolina Day over Christ School

Carolina Day was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 67-46 to the Christ School Greenies. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 59-38 on January 7th.

Carolina Day's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zeke Garris, who posted 13 points. Aiden McAfee was another key player, going 6 of 8 on his way to 14 points.

Christ School's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was William Robinson, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 15 rebounds. The dominant performance gave Robinson a new career-high in boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Thomas Vickery, who put up 22 points.

Carolina Day's record now sits at 5-11. As for Christ School, they pushed their record up to 17-1 with the victory, which was their 20th straight at home dating back to last season.

Carolina Day didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 56-45 loss against New Garden Friends on the 25th. Christ School has also already played their next game, a 72-34 win against Legion Collegiate Academy on the 24th.
