Basketball Recap: Rothsay Comes Up Short

Rothsay was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 63-57 heartbreaker at the hands of the Brandon/Evansville Chargers. If the Tigers were looking for revenge after losing 82-75 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Rothsay's loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Brandon/Evansville, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-3.

Rothsay will challenge Hancock at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Brandon/Evansville, they will head out on the road to take on Browerville at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday. One thing working in Brandon/Evansville's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
