Basketball Game Preview: Friendly Patriots vs. McDonough Rams

The Friendly Patriots will take on the McDonough Rams at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Friendly will be strutting in after a victory while McDonough will be coming in after a loss.

Last Tuesday, everything came up roses for Friendly against Potomac as the squad secured a 60-30 win. The Patriots have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 20 points or more this season.

Jasmine Germany continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 12-for-17 to rack up 27 points and six steals. That makes it seven consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Friendly's points. Another player making a difference was Janiyah Hightower, who posted ten points and seven boards.

Meanwhile, McDonough came up short against Calvert on Friday, falling 47-24. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Rams have suffered against the Cavaliers since February 25, 2019.

McDonough dropped their record down to 5-14 with the loss, which was their eighth straight on the road. As for Friendly, their victory bumped their record up to 13-8.
