While Cascade Christian's win against King wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Cougars sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Knights on Friday. The Cougars haven't had any issues with the Knights recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.
Cascade Christian took King's into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-18, 23-25, 17-25, 15-13.
Jenica Walling paced Cascade Christian's offense, picking up 25 kills. Walling got some help from Emma Compton and her 34 assists. Sophie Janho controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
When it comes to explaining why King's lost, don't look at Ella Young. Despite the final result, she had 19 digs and two aces. Amen Bereket also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.
