Volleyball Recap: Parkway South Patriots vs. Parkway West Longhorns

Parkway South was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Parkway West Longhorns. The Patriots were not able to make up for their loss to the Longhorns from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Parkway South started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 21-25, 26-24, 25-17, 25-21.

Their offense was headlined by Kelley Stricker and Maddy Ahearn, who picked up nine kills apiece. They got some help from Lucy Wright and her 14 assists. She also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Lily Hennekes, each putting up three.

Parkway South's defeat dropped their record down to 11-9-4. As for Parkway West, they pushed their record up to 14-8-1 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.
