It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Minerva ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Carrollton Warriors. This was a revenge game for the Lions: when they faced off against the Warriors on Tuesday, they had to take a 6-1 defeat.

Minerva saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Braydon Wood, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

The win got Minerva back to even at 10-10. As for Carrollton, their loss dropped their record down to 13-8.

Looking ahead, Minerva will face off against Tuslaw at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Carrollton, they will be playing at home against Edison at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
