Volleyball Recap: Deforest's Winning Streak Snapped at Four Games

After a string of four wins, DeForest's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of the Onalaska Hilltoppers by a score of 2-1. The Norskies were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hilltoppers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Haylin Arnold paced DeForest's offense, picking up ten kills. Arnold got some help from Morgan Bentel and her 27 assists. Bentel was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

DeForest's loss dropped their record down to 17-8. As for Onalaska, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season.

DeForest wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Mount Horeb on the 27th. As for Onalaska, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Verona on the 27th.
