Baseball Game Preview: King's Knights vs. Overlake Owls

For the second straight game, King will face off against Overlake. The Knights are taking a road trip to square off against the Owls at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for King's offense. They lost 6-0 to Overlake on Wednesday. The Knights have struggled against the Owls recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Titan Root was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed five innings while giving up three earned runs off eight hits. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because King's is 3-1 when he allows at most two walks, but 2-3 otherwise.

The win (which was Overlake's sixth in a row) raised their record to 9-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for King's, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4.
