Preview: Crest Ridge/Chilhowee vs. North Platte Panthers
Crest Ridge/Chilhowee are on the road again on Friday and play against the North Platte Panthers. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Crest Ridge/Chilhowee walked away with it. They came out on top against Midway by a score of 21-12 on Friday.
Meanwhile, North Platte entered their tilt with Wellington-Napoleon with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. North Platte blew past Wellington-Napoleon 59-14 on the road. North Platte might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won four matchups by 32 points or more this season.
North Platte's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Dylan Armstrong, who gained 34 total yards and three touchdowns, and Jason Shanks, who rushed for 105 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries.
North Platte's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB eight times. The heavy lifting was done by Owen Stockbauer and Armstrong who racked up four sacks between them.
Crest Ridge/Chilhowee's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for North Platte, their win bumped their record up to 9-1.
