The Rosepine Eagles will head out to challenge the Eunice Bobcats at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Rosepine is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.5 runs per game this season.
Rosepine can't be too worried about heading out to take on Eunice: they just beat DeQuincy at home, who had been dominant on their own field up to that point. The Eagles walked away with a 6-3 win over the Tigers on Tuesday.

Marli Jones25 made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. That's the most runs she has posted over her last 11 games.
In other batting news, Analeigh Roberts was incredible, firing off two home runs and four RBI while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Cailyn Evans, who went 3-for-4 with two doubles.
Rosepine hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as DeQuincy struck out nine times.
Meanwhile, Eunice hadn't done well against Kinder recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Bobcats were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the Yellowjackets. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bobcats.
Like Rosepine, Eunice also got a great game from a two-way player: Madelyn Smith. She pitched six innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. Smith was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one RBI.
In other batting news, Eva Sattler was a standout: she went 1-for-4 with one home run and five RBI. De'Miyah Reed was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base.
Rosepine's record now sits at 16-10. As for Eunice, their record is now 7-15.
