Volleyball Recap: Buckeye Local Comes Up Short at Home Against Harrison Central

Buckeye Local unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Harrison Central Huskies by a score of 3-2 on Monday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it six in a row.

While Buckeye Local ultimately came up short, they really made Harrison Central work, particularly in the second set. The final score came out to 19-25, 26-24, 20-25, 25-18, 15-12.

Harrison Central's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Abigail O'Rourke led the charge by getting ten digs and three aces.

The victory got Harrison Central back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Buckeye Local is headed away from home for the first time to challenge Indian Creek at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Harrison Central, they will welcome Catholic Central at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
