Baseball Recap: Holly Takes a Loss

Holly managed to slip by Owosso the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Bronchos came up short against the Trojans on Thursday, falling 9-3. The Bronchos were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Trojans earlier this season, when they won 7-6.

Holly's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Owosso, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 18-9.

Coming up, Holly will venture away from home to take on North Branch at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Broncos' pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so the Bronchos' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Owosso, they will welcome Kearsley at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in the Trojans' favor as the squad sits on five straight wins at home while the Hornets have been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road.
