Recap: Buford Yellowjackets vs. York Prep Patriots
The Buford Yellowjackets's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They were outmatched by York Prep on the road and fell 47-20. Buford was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as York Prep apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2022.
It was another big night for Payton Munsey, who dropped a triple-double on 12 points, ten rebounds, and ten blocks for York Prep. The matchup was Munsey's ninth in a row with at least ten points. Jordan Roberts was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Buford has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season. As for York Prep, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Buford will take on North Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. North Central comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for York Prep, they will head out on the road to face off against Central at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Central is out to stop a five-game streak of losses at home.
