Volleyball Recap: Aurora West College Prep Academy Takes a Loss

Aurora West College Prep Academy lost against Denver Waldorf back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Aurora West College Prep Academy lost 3-0 to Denver Waldorf. Aurora West College Prep Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The final score came out to 25-15, 25-13, 25-13.

Jesse Dominguez Parra paced Aurora West College Prep Academy's offense, picking up seven kills. Dominguez Parra got some help from Erick Uriarte and his 12 assists.

Leading Denver Waldorf to victory were Avery Monden and Cayden Quinn. Monden had 12 digs and two assists, while Quinn had seven digs, two aces, and one block. Quinn has been hot for a while, having also posted 15 or more assists the last 13 times he's played. Sasha Rodriguez also deserves some recognition as he had his first block of the season.

Aurora West College Prep Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Denver Waldorf, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-1.

Aurora West College Prep Academy has already played their next game (against DMLK), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Denver Waldorf, they will host D'Evelyn at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
