Softball Recap: Hanna Comes Up Short

Hanna was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 18-3 to the Harlingen Cardinals. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cardinals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 back in March.

Sol Guzman was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Hanna's defeat dropped their record down to 5-15-1. As for Harlingen, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a massive bump to their 16-9 record this season.

Coincidentally, Hanna and Harlingen will both be playing Los Fresnos the next time they take the field. The Cardinals will host the Falcons at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Golden Eagles will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
