Volleyball Recap: Montgomery Has No Trouble Against Willis

Montgomery won the last time they faced Willis and things went their way on Monday too. The Bears put the hurt on the Wildkats with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bears.

Montgomery never let Willis on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-15, 25-19.

Kennedy Marriott was the offensive standout of the contest as she had nine digs and one assist.

Montgomery was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in October of 2024.

Montgomery's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Willis, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, Montgomery will challenge Kinkaid at 10:15 a.m. on Thursday. As for Willis, they are taking a road trip to face off against Cypress Falls at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
