Soccer Recap: Gilmer Takes a Loss

If Gilmer was feeling good fresh off their 4-0 takedown of Fannin County last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Gilmer Bobcats came up short against the Dawson County Tigers on Friday, falling 4-0. The Bobcats have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Gilmer's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Dawson County, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.

Gilmer will challenge LaFayette at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Dawson County, they will face off against Lumpkin County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lumpkin County will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Dawson County surely won't give up without a fight.
