Basketball Recap: Canton Wins Going Away Against Hawkins

Hawkins typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Canton proved too difficult a challenge. They strolled past the Hawkins Hawks with points to spare, taking the game 47-32. The match marked the Eagles' most dominant win of the season so far.

Despite the loss, Hawkins still got an impressive performance from Derek Hollman, who posted 11 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Eli Smith, who put up six points.

The victory (which was Canton's third in a row) raised their record to 9-5. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.3 points per game. As for Hawkins, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-2.
