Basketball Recap: Whitehouse Takes a Loss

Whitehouse was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 50-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Longview Lobos. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lobos apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.

Jailiyah Rockmore continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Longview, putting up 16 points. Another player making a difference was Maya Ward, who posted six points in addition to six boards and four steals.

Whitehouse's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Longview, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Whitehouse will face off against Nacogdoches at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Longview, they will welcome Rockwall at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Longview is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.2 points per game this season.
