Sterling City won the last time they faced Reagan County and  Charley Wilson did her part to make sure it happened again. The Eagles walked away with  a   3-1  win over the Owls  on Saturday with plenty of help from  Wilson, who  had 18  kills and 16  digs. She has been hot for a while, having  posted nine or more  kills the last 14 times she's  played.
 Sterling City was especially dominant in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-13, 22-25,  25-19.
 Sterling City's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Dori Gaston, who  had 23  digs and two  assists. Those  23  digs gave  Gaston a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Christina Geary, who  had 15  kills and three  blocks.
Sterling City has  been performing  well recently as they've  won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-14 record  this season. As for Reagan County,  they are  on  a  six-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 14-20.
 We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Sterling City is set to  challenge  their familiar foe Forsan  at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Reagan County will  take on  rival Christoval  at 6:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
