Football Recap: Satsuma Takes a Loss + How To Watch

The matchup between Satsuma and Escambia County on Friday hardly resembled the 14-13 effort from their previous meeting. The Gators were outmatched by the Blue Devils and fell 49-14. The Gators were down 36-6 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Andrew Sullivan threw for 36 yards on three of seven attempts. On the ground, Jordan Poe rushed for 81 yards and one score.

This is the second loss in a row for Satsuma and nudges their season record down to 1-6. As for Escambia County, the victory snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 2-6 record.

Looking ahead, Satsuma will be playing in front of their home fans against Jackson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Aggies' defense has only allowed 11.2 points per game this season, so the Gators' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Escambia County, they will head out to square off against Greenville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Blue Devils will be up against the Tigers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 31.38 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
