Basketball Recap: Bonnabel Takes a Loss

Bonnabel was the 25-12 winner over Benjamin Franklin when they last played one another back in November of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Bonnabel Bruins lost 51-28 to the Benjamin Franklin Falcons on Monday. The Bruins have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

It was another big night for Sophia Johnson, who dropped a double-double with 24 points and 11 rebounds for Benjamin Franklin. That makes it five consecutive games in which Johnson has scored at least a third of Benjamin Franklin's points. Sadie Mehok was another key player, going 6-for-15 en route to 11 points and eight boards.

Bonnabel's defeat dropped their record down to 15-11. As for Benjamin Franklin, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 16-16 record this season.

Bonnabel has already played their next game (against New Orleans Military & Maritime Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Benjamin Franklin, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 51-15 win against John Ehret on the 13th.
