Salado entered their tilt with Grandview on Saturday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They came out on top against the Zebras by a score of 2-0.

When it comes to explaining why Grandview lost, don't look at Gracie Lawson. Despite the final result, she had seven digs and two aces. Lawson has been hot for a while, having also posted 12 or more assists the last 15 times she's played.

Salado's win bumped their record up to 15-3. As for Grandview, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-4.

Salado and Grandview should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. The Eagles will take on Troy at 7:00 p.m. on September 2 with a big rank advantage (53 vs. 526). Meanwhile, Grandview (ranked 84th) will meet Godley (ranked 490th) at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
