Volleyball Recap: Nash Central Bulldogs vs. Wake Prep Academy Guardians

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Bunn, Nash Central was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They skirted past the Wake Prep Academy Guardians 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bulldogs have posted since October 14, 2024.

Nash Central wouldn't go down easily and took Wake Prep Academy into a fifth set where they got it done with a six-point win. The match finished with set scores of 16-25, 27-25, 25-16, 20-25, 15-9.

Gracyn King paced Nash Central's offense, picking up seven kills. King got some help from Jayden Baggett and her five assists. Finally, King was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high nine blocks.

Wake Prep Academy's loss came despite strong showings from Campbell Sheldon and Josie Osborne. Sheldon had five digs and four aces, while Osborne had 15 kills, nine digs, and one block. Osborne is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had six or more in each of the last three games she's played.
