Soccer Recap: Scottsboro Takes a Loss

Scottsboro was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They lost 5-0 to the Hazel Green Trojans. If the Wildcats were looking for revenge after losing 8-1 to the Trojans when the teams met back in February of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Scottsboro's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Hazel Green, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.

A feisty cat fight will be fought as Scottsboro challenge Crossville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Scottsboro has given up an average of 5 goals per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week. Hazel Green will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Huntsville at 7:00 p.m. on March 21st. Hazel Green knows how to get goals on the board -- the squad has finished with four goals or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Huntsville likes a good challenge.
