It's automatic every Monday and Tuesday during the boys basketball season. High school basketball fans from all corners of the state login to their computers hoping the school they are loyal to moved up in the rankings, took over the top spot, or made the climb into the rankings.

But, what about the national rankings? Oh what a coup that would be, to find your alma mater alongside traditional powers Guyer (Denton, TX), Montverde Academy (Montverde, FL) or Gonzaga (Washington, D.C.). Heck, landing a Top 100 ranking would be pretty cool, too.

Well, this week we did that work for you. Scouring through the MaxPreps National Rankings, we unearthed the current national ranking for each member of Nebraska's Top 10 boys basketball teams.

While the Cornhusker State is not represented in the Top 25, top-ranked Wahoo did crack the Top 100 at No. 82. Ponca, Nebraska's No. 2 club, is now a member of the Top 200 at 188th and Bennington climbed 423 spots to 250th. York and Gretna round out the Top 5 this week by climbing to 263rd and 303rd respectively. Of the members of this week's Top 10, O'Neill made the largest climb, rising 714 spots to 796th nationally out of the 14,964 schools that now reside in MaxPreps' national rankings database.

Tuesday's rankings were used in this week's Top 10. As you browse through the Top 10, listed on the top line is the school, its won-loss record in parenthesis and its MaxPreps power ranking.
