Baseball Recap: Warner Takes a Loss

Warner was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 8-3 to the Wilburton Diggers. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Diggers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Warner saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jon Brown, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Warner's loss dropped their record down to 4-8-1. As for Wilburton, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.

Warner will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Savanna at 4:00 p.m. on the 14th. As for Wilburton, they will venture away from home to face off against Red Oak at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
