Softball Recap: Beverly Hills Takes a Loss

Beverly Hills was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 16-2 to the Hawthorne Cougars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 last Tuesday.

Beverly Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Hawthorne, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-6 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Beverly Hills will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Centennial at 3:15 p.m. on April 8. As for Hawthorne, they will head out to face off against Santa Monica at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Santa Monica will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Hawthorne surely won't give up without a fight.
