Volleyball Game Preview: Grayson County Blue Devils vs. Auburn Eagles

Grayson County is 1-9 against Auburn since September of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Blue Devils will take on the Eagles at 7:30 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Grayson County comes in on seven and Auburn on three.

On Thursday, Grayson County made easy work of Fort Chiswell and carried off a 3-0 win.

The home team had won the previous two meetings between Auburn and Galax, and Auburn kept the tradition alive. The Eagles put the hurt on the Maroon Tide with a sharp 3-0 victory on Thursday.

Auburn walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the second set). The final score came out to 25-20, 25-8, 25-18.

Grayson County's victory bumped their record up to 16-3. As for Auburn, their win bumped their record up to 17-5.

Grayson County came up short against Auburn in their previous meeting back in September, falling 3-1. Can the Blue Devils avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
