Basketball Recap: Stephen Edwards and Carter Adams Secure Win for DASH

You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely DASH's strategy against Southeastern HomeSchool on Friday. The United walked away with a 78-66 win over the Cardinals. Winning may never get old, but the United sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Leading DASH to victory were Carter Adams and Stephen Edwards. Adams posted 27 points, while Edwards had 24 points. Edwards' big performance that evening made it nine games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jameson Harrell, who earned eight points.

Despite the loss, Southeastern HomeSchool still got an impressive performance from Max Brutus, who dropped a double-double with 29 points and 14 rebounds. That was a full 43.9% of the Cardinals' points, marking the third time in a row Brutus has scored more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Asher Batts, who put up 11 points and seven boards.

DASH's victory bumped their record up to 15-7. As for Southeastern HomeSchool, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-14 record this season.

DASH didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 67-42 win against FAITH Homeschool on the 5th. As for Southeastern HomeSchool, they have also already played their next contest, an 88-56 loss against Oak Forest on the 6th.
