Softball Recap: Golden Gate Comes Up Short

Golden Gate was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 15-0 to the Palmetto Ridge Bears. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Titans of the 18-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Golden Gate's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Palmetto Ridge, their win ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Golden Gate will host Gulf Coast at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Gulf Coast will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Golden Gate surely won't give up without a fight. As for Palmetto Ridge, they will be playing at home against Ida Baker at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Palmetto Ridge is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.4 runs per game this season.
