Recap: Father Capodanno Grunts vs. Scotland Christian Academy Saints
It was a good run, but the Father Capodanno Grunts unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Monday. They were beaten by Scotland Christian Academy 92-61. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Despite the loss, Father Capodanno still got an impressive performance from Luke Moon, who scored 29 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Moon has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Jonah Marsh, who scored 12 points.
Father Capodanno struggled to work together and finished the game with only an assist. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Scotland Christian Academy racked up 14 assists.
Scotland Christian Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jeffrey St.Onge led the charge by shooting 4-for-7 from beyond the arc and dropping a double-double on 30 points and ten rebounds. It was the first time this season that St.Onge pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Micah Cartrette, who scored 19 points along with eight rebounds and five steals.
Father Capodanno's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-16. As for Scotland Christian Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-6.
