Softball Recap: Perry-Lecompton Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses at Home

Perry-Lecompton's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They came out on top against the St. Marys Bears by a score of 9-4.

Olivia Hart made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She pitched seven innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off ten hits. Hart was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That home run marked the first that she launched this season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Macie Corcoran, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Autumn Flory was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

Perry-Lecompton lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since back in May of 2024.

Perry-Lecompton's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-7. As for St. Marys, they dropped their record down to 0-7 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Perry-Lecompton will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Bears: the pair will be back at it again later today.
