Baseball Recap: Fallbrook Warriors vs. Ramona Bulldogs

Fallbrook extended their losing streak to eight on Wednesday, dropping them down to 3-19-1. They took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ramona Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-2 on Monday.

Camden Hoff made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run.

As for Ramona, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games.

On Ramona's side, Alex Wilson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up seven Ks. Wilson has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Ramona got a big performance out of Cal Melendez, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Colton Simpson, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
