Elma's game on Wednesday was all tied up 19-19 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They pulled ahead with a 49-48 photo finish over the Montesano Bulldogs. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 47-37 victory two weeks ago.

Elma got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Isaac McGaffey out in front who went 6-for-11 on his way to 16 points in addition to five rebounds and three blocks. McGaffey has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last four times he's played. Traden Carter was another key player, putting up 13 points and five steals.

Elma has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season. As for Montesano, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-12.

Looking ahead, Elma will challenge La Center on Saturday. Elma is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.5 points per game this season. Montesano does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
