Softball Recap: Muir Mustangs vs. Flintridge Prep Wolves
Muir can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent contest on Thursday. They never let the Flintridge Prep Wolves onto the board and left with an 11-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Muir.
Gianna (GiGi) Butler was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Butler has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive pitching appearances. Butler was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 4-for-4.
In other batting news, Muir got a massive performance out of Abigail (Abi) Milton, who went 2-for-3 with a home run, three runs, and two RBI. Milton continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Ariel (Shorty) Flores, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-4.
Muir's victory bumped their record up to 14-10. As for Flintridge Prep, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-6.
