Warwick is a perfect 3-0 against Monticello since March of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Wildcats will square off against the Panthers at 4:15 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

It was a proper cat-fight when Warwick duked it out with Kingston on Wednesday. The Wildcats fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 6-5. The defeat continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost four in a row.

Warwick got a good showing from Luca Scotto, who tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Scotto has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up a single earned run any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Luca Siebert and Garrison Sobo stepped up to the plate in a big way. Siebert went 2-for-3 with one home run and two stolen bases, while Sobo went 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs. That home run marked the first that Siebert has launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Tristan Sasse, who went 2-for-4 with one home run.

Meanwhile, Monticello fell victim to Valley Central and their airtight pitching crew last Wednesday. They came up short against the Vikings, falling 10-0. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Warwick's record now sits at 2-5. As for Monticello, their record is now 0-2.

Warwick took their victory against Monticello when the teams last played back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 14-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
