Fillmore had won four straight home games and Jasiah Patterson did his part to make it five on Friday. The Flashes walked away with a 24-17 victory over the Dos Pueblos Chargers thanks in part to Patterson, who rushed for 204 yards and one TD while picking up 10.7 yards per carry. He was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 59 yards.

Although Dos Pueblos took the loss, they still got scores from Micah Barnhart and Callan Lee.

Fillmore's win bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Dos Pueblos, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Fillmore will challenge Santa Paula at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Dos Pueblos, they will square off against San Marcos at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Chargers will be up against the Royals' rather soft defense (which has allowed 31.67 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
