Basketball Game Preview: Upper Columbia Academy Lions vs. Asotin Panthers

Upper Columbia Academy is 2-8 against Asotin since December of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Upper Columbia Academy Lions challenge the Asotin Panthers at 5:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Upper Columbia Academy is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Saturday. They lost 71-46 to Genesis Prep Academy. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 230th in Washington, while the Jaguars are ranked 107th in Idaho).

Meanwhile, Asotin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were beaten by Freeman 69-42.

Upper Columbia Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Asotin, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-6.

Upper Columbia Academy took a serious blow against Asotin when the teams last played back in January, falling 66-26. Can Upper Columbia Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
