Softball Game Preview: Chesterfield Golden Rams vs. Central Eagles

The Chesterfield Golden Rams will square off against the Central Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Chesterfield has given up an average of 7.2 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Chesterfield's last matchup with Buford could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Friday. Chesterfield lost 18-12 to Buford. The Golden Rams haven't had much luck with the Yellow Jackets recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Meanwhile, Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of Andrew Jackson.

Chesterfield's loss dropped their record down to 2-2-1. As for Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.

Everything went Chesterfield's way against Central in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Chesterfield made off with a 12-0 victory. Does Chesterfield have another victory up their sleeve, or will Central turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
